About me
Dr. Kelvin Kabeti Omieno is Founding and Current Dean, School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT), Kaimosi Friends University College (KAFUCO) which is a Constituent College of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) since February 2019. Dr. Omieno has acquired over six (6) years of hands-on administrative experience in higher management in Kenya. He has been a member of the University College Academic Board (UCAB) and MMUST Senate since Feb 2019 and August 2014 respectively. In 2014 he was appointed Chairman of Department of Computer Science, MMUST. In December 2016, Dr. Omieno was appointed Founding Dean, School of Computing and Informatics (in Acting Capacity), MMUST a position he held till January 2019. He is currently an Adjunct Senior Lecturer and Academic Leader of Masters in Business Information Systems at Technical University of Mombasa. Dr. Omieno has served as a chairman and member in several other academic and non-academic appointments.
